dumb eternities

we always had these streets
  these musics
           we walked through
       talking to ancient lamps
     that switch out of us
     binary recollects
        & it’s all forgotten
like the flow of austin texas
    the optimised daily
   the factories promise silence
    eternities
  we are dumb to
  & someone’s put a thumb in the oven…

     we can march together
      with the millions
we can be these wave patterns
& we can forget it all
like a billionaire’s island
   or a menshevik’s small horse
or the slit of all these numb bombs
   & we shan’t cry
 or know the rain anymore
   or how to help
  or get anything
  to use server power
or mould smashed marble
  to be  as concrete
anonymous muons
    canal trash in the breeze
  or silhouettes by the hospital
   that we always had
